Reading University Photographic Society is run by students at the Uni for anyone with an interest in taking photos. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or an old hand. We organise a variety of activities; including talks, workshops, photo walks, trips, and competitions.
Our weekly meetings explore different styles of photography and are held three Tuesdays a month in the Palmer building, room 105, at the centre of the Whiteknights campus. In the off week, at the weekend, we leave campus for more practical based trips. This year we plan to visit Oxford, the Thames Valley area, and compete in the National Photo Hunt in London, a highlight of the year. A full list of all our sessions and trips is available on our Current Programme page.
Membership is £12 per year for current students and £15 for everyone else.
Don’t have a camera? Not a problem, members have access to our cameras, and a variety of equipment. We also have a darkroom available for those interested in film photography.
